Characters Questionaires

1. Who is/are the main character(s) in the story? What does the main character look like?
The main characters are Lalla, Jane, Allan and Godfrey. Jane is not actually the main character who acts out the story but she is the narrator while Lalla is actually the one who acts out the story and Allan and Godfrey are mostly get involved with her. They look like a normal family without any complicated situations, since they are also living in a county not a big city where people easily get troubles.

2. Describe the main charcter's situation. Where does he/she live? Does he/she live alone or with others? What does the main character do for a living, or is he/she dependent on others for support?
Lalla lives with her family in Cornwall, they had to move from London to Cornwall becaue her father has passed away and her mother alone couldn't afford the family in London. Lalla is dependent on others for support, because she didn't really have her situation alone thoughout the story but she acts the story with mostly two guys.

3. What are some of the chief characteristics (peresonality traits) of the character? How are these characteristics revealed in the story? How does the main character interact with other characters? Note the degree of complexity of his/her behavior, thought, and feelings; their appearances, their habits, mannerisms, speech, attitudes and values. What is the main character's attitude towards his/her life? Is he/she happy or sad, content or discontented? Why?
Lalla is a beautiful girl that does not easily interact with other people. So thoughout the story, she didn't really get to know others first and other characters are the ones who came to her first. The characteristics of Lalla in the story got her to get involved in some conflict at the end of the story. Lalla knew that she is beautiful and that everyone wanted to know her so it also makes her acts that way, so she was happy and contented in the story.

4. What sort of conflict is the charcter facing? How is this conflict revealed? Is it resolved? If so, how?
Lalla's conflict was that she needed to choose between coming two guys. Whether she will decide to come back to Cornwall for Godfrey or stay with Allan in London which Allan is also wealthy but Godfrey was not really as wealthy as him. Lalla decided to broke her engagement with Allan, she left London and come back to Cornwall so the conflict was resolved.

5. Is any character a developing character? If so, is this change a large or a small one? Is it
a plausible change for him? Is he sufficiently motivated? Is the change given sufficient time?
Since the period of the story happens during the time when Lalla was 14 and she was becoming a woman, so she is a developing character. It changes her life when she decided to engage with Allan and moved to London with him, it was not really a sufficiented motivated because this cause a conflict in the story.
